The Veterans Post

Honouring Service. Strengthening the Veteran Community.

What we are

The Veterans Post is an independent digital publication and community information platform for India's Armed Forces veterans, ex-servicemen, serving personnel and their families. We publish news, welfare and pension information, resources, stories of service and considered opinion — with care, accuracy and respect.

Who we serve

  • Veterans and ex-servicemen (ESM) of the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force
  • Families of veterans, serving personnel and those who have made the supreme sacrifice
  • Serving personnel preparing for life after service
  • Veterans' associations, welfare organisations and the wider public

Our editorial purpose

We aim to make reliable information easier to find — especially on welfare schemes, pension, healthcare, employment and resettlement — and to tell the stories of service that deserve to be remembered. Wherever possible, we link to the original official source so readers can verify details for themselves.

Independence

The Veterans Post is an independent publication. It is not an official website of the Government of India, the Ministry of Defence, the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, or the Indian Armed Forces, and it is not affiliated with any political party. Nothing published here should be taken as an official notice or statement unless it is explicitly identified and sourced as such.

Editorial standards

We distinguish clearly between four kinds of content:

  • Official information — summaries of government notifications, orders and schemes, always with a link to the source.
  • Editorial reporting — our own reporting, written to be factual, fair and sourced.
  • Commentary — opinion pieces, published in the Opinion section; views are those of the author.
  • Community submissions — stories and information shared by readers, identified as such.

We do not publish:

  • fabricated quotes, fake government notices or unverified casualty figures;
  • misleading or sensational headlines;
  • political propaganda, hate speech or communal content;
  • material that harasses individuals or exposes private personal information.

Editors are responsible for everything we publish. If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please contact us — we review every correction request and update articles transparently.
