The Indian Army organised an Ex-Servicemen Meet at Balapur in Shopian, bringing together Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and Veer Naris to address their grievances and welfare-related concerns.
The meet provided an opportunity for veterans and Veer Naris to raise issues concerning their welfare and seek assistance from the concerned authorities. Welfare issues were addressed with support from the Zila Sainik Welfare Board, JAK LI Records and Para Legal Volunteers.
Medical assistance was also made available during the event through an MI Room, providing medical care to attendees.
The gathering brought Army representatives, veterans, Veer Naris and representatives of supporting welfare organisations together at a common platform, focusing on resolving concerns and facilitating access to available welfare support.
The event highlights the Army's continued engagement with the veteran community in the region.
